Although we were there for the capercaille lek, this ermine (stoat) was the highlight, along with bears and wolves in snow. Boreal has been bought by a French guy who couldn’t organise the proverbial. Hissed in the wrong place / wrong angle, specially for the black grouse which was very frustrating. Two night in single coffins - in before dusk in the hope of capercaillie at dawn gave 5 minutes!
